FAQs

Safety

I have horse experience. Can I lead my child while he/she is on the pony?
For the safety of everyone involved, staff members must lead the ponies during the pony rides. You are welcome to walk along the side of the pony and your child during the ride.

Does my child have to wear a helmet?
Yes. While our ponies are wonderful, and we never expect any kind accident, the possibility is still there. If you'd like, you may take a picture of your child on the pony before or after the ride without the helmet. Additionally, the helmets must be SEI-approved helmets provided by The Enchanted Pony Party Co.; bike or other similar helmets may not be worn.

Can you accommodate handicapped riders?
As long as the child can balance on the pony, even if they need assistance from someone walking along side, they can ride. We do not have specialty saddles made to strap or hold the rider to the saddle.

Do you really need to have a signed liability waiver and release form for each rider?
Yes. Please plan ahead and make sure that you have a signed form for each rider. The forms must be signed by the rider's parent or legal guardian. You can download the forms HERE, or I can provide the copies for you. Please don't wait until you're here for your party to try get all the forms done.

What kind of clothing do you recommend my child wear?
We ask that you dress your child in closed-toe shoes for protection from pony hooves and any red ants that might be hanging around. Long pants are also nice as they protect your child's legs from rubbing on the saddle. Skirts that don't stretch--such as denim--are not recommended as they make it hard to sit in the saddle comfortably.

Do you have an age and weight limit?
Riders need to be at least 3 years old and under 100 lbs. Children under 3 may sit on the ponies and have their picture taken.

Fundraisers

Do you ever donate pony-ride parties or private pony rides for charitable fundraisers?
Yes! We love to give back to our community! Please contact us for more information.

Pony Handling

Can we bring a treat to give the ponies?
Yes! Our ponies love carrots and apples, and you are more than welcome to bring a few tidbits to share with them.

Can the children brush the ponies?
Our ponies love to be brushed! Just let us know if you'd like to work some pony grooming into your party and we'll make it happen (this would not be part of the hour dedicated to the pony rides).

Payment

What type of payment do you accept?
We can take payment in cash or by credit/debit card. We do not accept checks. A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking; this is non-refundable unless your party must be cancelled due to weather. The remaining 50% is due the day before the party. Please see our Pricing page for more details about payment and our cancellation policy.

Party Details

Is there a limit to the number of people I can invite to my child's party?
By our city code, we must limit the number of people at a party to 24 (including children and adults) and the number of vehicles to 12.

Where is your property?
Our property is nestled in the North-Eastern part of lovely Eagle Mountain. When you're here it seems like you're out in the country, but we are located in a residential neighborhood. Because we strive to be good neighbors, we ask that you observe the posted 25 mph speed signs, and are curtious of our neighbors by not using their driveways to turn around and by parking in the gravel parking area provided at the back of our property instead of parking on the street.

Where should my guests park?
Please have your guests drive around to the back of the house and park in the large gravel area between the barn and the backyard. Please do not park on the street.

Can I come early to set up for my party?
We know that setting up for a party can be stressful, and welcome you to come set up as early as you'd like so you feel ready and relaxed for a great pony experience. We've found that 45 minutes to 1 hour is plenty of time for people to set up their party space and be ready to receive their guests.

What kind of decorations can I bring?
Banners and streamers that can be attached to the wood pergola are welcome. Please don't bring balloons, noise makers, or anything that may blow away as these types of items can spook the ponies. You are welcome to bring folding tables if you need extra space for food and presents.

Can I buy a cake or other party food from you?
We don't offer cakes or other party food for purchase. Please feel free to bring any food that you'd like to have at your party. We will provide both garbage and recycle cans for your use.

How far in advance do I need to schedule my pony-ride party?
As far in advance as you can. We host 2 parties per week, they need to be in the mid-morning hours, and there is only 1 Saturday in each week. We might have last-minute openings available, but it's best for you to not count on it. (Private pony rides are much more flexible for times.)

What is included in my pony-ride party?
2 1/2 hours at our property, including 1 hour of pony rides for up to 12 riders, use of the playground, lawn area, pergola, graveled parking area, and tack room bathroom. We have 2 large wood tables with benches for under the pergola, and can provide a long folding table if you need it.

How long are the pony rides?
One pony can give 10-12 rides in the hour provided, which works out to about 5 minutes per ride (taking out time for mounting and dismounting). If you'd like to have longer rides, or more rides per child, you can add a 2nd pony to your party for $50. If you have fewer than 12 riders at your party, they can have as many rides as the hour permits.

What is included in my private pony ride?
Private pony rides are 30 minutes long and the time may be split between up to 3 riders. The playground and backyard is available for siblings not riding or riders who are waiting for their turn.

Can we visit the other animals at your property during the party?
You are very welcome to walk around the property and visit our other animals. Children must be accompanied by an adult while not in the fenced backyard.
